What this means
AraiWa has no accounts and sets no advertising trackers. Reading statistics are collected as anonymous aggregates without cookies. Events you save are stored in your own browser and never sent to a server.

What is collected
- Aggregate reading statistics. AraiWa uses Plausible Analytics, a cookieless analytics service. It reports aggregate numbers such as page views, referral sources and visitor countries. It does not use cookies, does not store personal identifiers, and does not follow you across other sites. Interaction events (for example "an event was saved") are recorded as a bare event name only — never with the event's title, your identity, or any other detail attached.
- Hosting logs. The site is served by Cloudflare. Like practically every hosting provider, Cloudflare processes connection data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site and defend it against abuse. AraiWa does not read or store these logs itself. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Email you choose to send. If you email [email protected], the message and your address are used to reply to you and for nothing else. They are not added to any mailing list.
What stays in your browser
Saving an event and choosing a display language both use your browser's local storage. That data never leaves your device: it is not transmitted to AraiWa or anyone else, and clearing your browser data removes it. There is nothing to delete on a server because nothing was sent to one.
What is not done
- No accounts, no signup, no login.
- No advertising cookies and no ad trackers.
- No selling or sharing of visitor data.
- No embedded social-media widgets that report your visit elsewhere.
The AraiWa mobile app
The AraiWa app for iOS and Android is a read-only viewer of the same public AraiWa content. It is even quieter than the website: the app does not load the website's Plausible analytics at all. App-specific points:
- No collection built into the app. The app has no accounts, no login, no analytics, no advertising, no trackers and no crash-reporting service, so it gathers no account, usage, advertising or tracking data. It does not ask for or use your location, camera, microphone, photos, files, contacts or notifications.
- Network requests. To show current content, the app fetches AraiWa's public, read-only data feed at
araiwa.app/api/v1. These are ordinary HTTPS requests: like any web request, they carry standard technical connection data (such as your IP address and device's user-agent string) to the server infrastructure. AraiWa's API is unauthenticated, sets no cookies, and attaches no identifier that links requests to you. The requests reach the same Cloudflare-served infrastructure described under "Hosting logs" above, and the same limits apply: AraiWa does not read or store connection logs itself, and any retention of that connection data is governed by the hosting provider's practices linked above. - What stays on your device. The app keeps content on your device so it works offline: a bundled snapshot that ships inside the app, an on-device copy of the most recent successfully fetched data ("saved data", stored in the app's local storage), and a standard app cache. None of this is sent anywhere. Deleting the app removes all of it. There is nothing to delete on a server, because the app never sends anything about you to one.
- Third-party components. The app is built with the open-source Capacitor framework, which provides the native app shell. In AraiWa it runs with no plugins and does not collect or transmit data. There are no advertising, analytics or social-media SDKs in the app.
